It’s the middle of winter and Queenstown is full of skiers. Betty has just died and Elka needs surgery. Kate, back from London where she was an up and coming chef, won’t get out of bed. Nick feels guilty delivering fast food to an ex-champion skier, Lizzie, who is bitter about the injury which robbed her of glory. There is a movie star on location nearby who won’t listen to advice, and Maggie can’t seem to put a foot right with the new doctor in town. People are dying and life goes on. Death Actually Reviews… Review: The Reader: NZ Booksellers Blog: "The author has gently moulded the strands of the story together with humour and it moves along at a brisk pace with some very satisfactory outcomes from the twists and turns she created among the characters … The underlining theme highlights strength, reliance and hope while looking to the future." Review: Wardini Books: “Death Actually is a light and lovely read; a love story with a healthy dose of comedy, an engaging cast and multiple plot lines. It’s full of life (and death) and infiltrated my emotions enough to make me cry at the end. Definitely worth a read."

Euphemia Sage watched helplessly as Jane, covered in blood, clutched her precious jewelry and was bundled into the Mercedes. Just a few days earlier she’d discovered that Alison, her mousy receptionist at Sage Consulting, had been working as a loan shark on the side. And now Alison, her husband and those thick-necked men in the cheap suits wanted the money back. When a desperate Jane had come to Euphemia, of course she had to help. After all, wasn’t this what she was supposed to do? Euphemia had waited more than twenty years to find out if the story in the mysterious letter she’d received on her thirtieth birthday was true. So when at 53 her first hot flush triggered a genetic switch and gave her unexpected powers, she felt more than ready to save Jane and deal to Alison. But what had seemed simple suddenly became complicated when Alison produced a gun. Hot Flush Reviews … As a woman "of a certain age"' I loved this book. Original, off beat, humorous and quite unpredictable, in a good way. Good Reads. 5 Star. “I loved this, just loved it, reading it one Friday night when I had the house to myself, a glass of wine in hand, well, more than one actually, music playing and the cat stretched out on my legs. Totally perfect. I cannot wait to read the sequel to this No Sweat” The Reader: Book Sellers New Zealand Blog.

Sequel to the highly-praised Hot Flush - Book One in the Euphemia Sage Chronicles. Tracked by a pesky journalist, opportunities for developing her powers are scarce. Her family and friends are mystified, and she can’t explain. Book Two of the Euphemia Sage Chronicles follows the fast-paced twists and turns we have come to expect from our favourite post-menopausal super heroine to reach an action-packed and satisfying conclusion. No Sweat Reviews… “I enjoyed Hot Flush but really enjoyed ‘No Sweat’. It was a great read, and the chapters flew by. It was disappointing to finish as I wanted more. So, can’t wait for Euphemia’s next challenges in the next book.”5 Star Review. Whilst the story is a stand-alone, the narrative does touch on the happenings of the first book in the series, so I would definitely recommend reading Hot Flush first. After reading Hot Flush myself, I was left feeling I really wanted to hear more about the adventures of Euphemia Sage. Has this book satisfied my curiosity? Yes, but I still want more! I just love Euphemia. She is such an utterly brilliant character and the storyline is completely unique. I can see a whole series of these books. Good Reads Review.
